Description
A capture of the magnificent state capital building of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. Taken on a late morning in June of 2010 as storm clouds slowly drifted off.
This is a lightly textured version of the original "Pennsylvania State Capital" image which I added to my portfolio previously. I decided to give the original a hint of a thick, handmade paper texture to enhance the already heavily textured look of the image, and decided to add it separately rather than replacing the original. Personally, I love that the paper texture seems to add even more depth and detail, but I know some loved the clean lines of the straight photographic image.
Original image captured with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikkor lens and treated to lots of edits in Photoshop and Photomatix Pro for a crisp, hdr look. A hint of digital texture was added in Corel Painter 11 for a painterly feel.

Beautifully rendered. I toured the whole building, with my best friend and her dad who wrote the history of the building. It is so beautiful, as is the Minnesota capital (my home state)!
