Description

I can't get enough of the beautiful flowers planted in the garden near our new home. This time an amazing peony blossom caught my and my camera's attention. At least, I'm pretty sure it's a peony, though I don't know what kind. If anyone has better info, I'd appreciate it. Some of the possibilities include The Doreen, The Okinawa, the Karen Gray and the Montezuma peonies. I'm sure there are more.

I don't think that not knowing it's proper name takes away from its charm. I loved it's open wide form when I got to it last week. Gorgeous colors!! I created another version of this one, on plain black, but decided I preferred the pops of its natural green background with the peeks of sunlight and shadow that we see here.
