Description
The colorful, frilly-petalled poppies grown in our garden at our old house in Maryland were always a delight when they bloomed. I think it was the Turkenlouis poppy or maybe the Frilly Oriental Poppy (Papaver orientale), it was a brilliant mix of reds and oranges and vermilions and added a bright spot of color against the darker background of several large deep green shrubs.
An impressionistic look back at a lovely moment in time.
Image created from and loosely based on my own original photographic work and digital hand-painted in Corel Painter with a Wacom tablet, the art pen, and lots of beautiful brushes.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
