Description
The pretty little red berries in this image are from the winterberry holly, in particular, the red sprite winterberry holly, also called fever bush or American winterberry. Though the plant is deciduous, that is, the bright green leaves drop in autumn, the berries remain ... which become a big favorite of over-wintering wild birds in winter. I think I need to plant a couple of these in our new garden!
Look closely, can you find the little bug?

Oh my Lois, this helps put me in the festive holiday mood. I seem to be dragging my feet with the upcoming holidays, however, you've certainly captured the bright spirit with this lovely shot. Love the bright pop of these gorgeous colors & the black background lets this show off as it should.
Lois Bryan replied:
Thanks so much, Colleen!!! Yes, they have to drag me into the holiday season by my ankles ... but no matter how hard I struggle, it seems to arrive sooner than expected every year!! No clue how that happens!!! So glad you enjoyed this little picture!!!!
