So happy to announce that "Puppy In The Garden" tied for second place in the 9/18/2021 contest "Digital for Fun." Many thanks to the contest administrator, Kevin Martin, and to everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners!
A tiny Maltese puppy has spent a few minutes in the garden, romping among the flowers. The slightly mischievous and hopeful expression on his face lets us know there's a possibility that some of the pretty flowers may not look quite as pretty as they did!! But no matter ... the treats in your pocket guarantee Puppy will be at your side in moments ... and the flowers and the butterflies can go back to enjoying their peaceful afternoon.
I have to add ... the appearance of a "smile" on Puppy's face is legitimate. Sometimes the doggie's upper lip (is it a lip?) pulls in the mustache hairs way over to the corners, and reveals more of the shape of the mouth ... and when that happens ... voila ... you get a smile!! So basically the smile is always there ... we just don't see it very often.
Using one of my own original and exclusive photographic images as a beginning point, this image was hand-painted, digitally, in Corel Painter.
