We've had a spell of hot days recently. The kind of day that, when they come on suddenly, you cross your fingers that the air conditioning in your cars and houses are up to the job. I always feel bad for my birdies. The sweet male cardinal you see here is opening his wings to catch a breeze and cool himself down a bit.
Though it's still May, it's summer.
