Description
I had the opportunity to visit Tucson Arizona in the spring of 2009. To the eyes of an east coast gal, the colorful buildings in the area were an amazing treat. This particular window, with it's graceful iron-grill work and profusion of crimson roses, really caught my eye. The brilliant fuchsia / lavender of the stucco'ed walls added to the unique and whimsical look. I'd love to have been able to see the decor of the interior of this lovely home.
Original image taken with the Nikon D40x and the 18-200mm vr Nikkor lens.
Treated to some work in Photoshop CS6 then completely digitally hand-painted with Wacom Tablet and brushes in Corel Painter 2015 for a lively and fun impressionistic look.

Hurrah for having your artwork chosen to be a featured piece on our homepage this week. You have many fine pieces in your portfolio of your works, and I am happy you chose this one to submit for possible featuring in our group on the homepage. It now has reached that goal of being featured in our group, a family of friends and fine artists of the Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery Group. Congratulations on this fine accomplishment
