Description
A lone American sycamore in the glorious beauty of a Shenandoah Valley dawn, leafless in the winter brilliance of an orange sky, raises his white branches in greeting to the new day. The distant morning purples of the Blue Ridge Mountains that ring the valley to the east are momentarily touched with the incredible light. And here comes the sun, angry and red for the moment, but he'll soon mellow out and glow with a happy gold, shedding winter-warmth over the land.
Though I prefer my winters with a foot or two of snow now and then, even I have to admit there's a beauty in winter that even the most delicious days of spring, summer or fall can't outdo.
Image painted by hand, digitally, and very loosely sketched from one of my own photos using Corel Painter, a Wacom tablet, the art pen stylus and many beautiful digital brushes.
This image was NOT created using AI - Artificial Intelligence.
