A handsome male Eastern Towhee settles in on a comfy tree branch on a soft spring day. After a few flutters and fluffs of his beautiful feathers, he begins the concert. His "Drink Your Teeeeee!" and other songs are guaranteed to attract any pretty females in the garden.
In reality, the poor bird was actually hunkered down in a hollowed out cleft in a huge snowdrift on our back deck, protected from the ferocious winter winds, munching on sunflower seeds that I'd thrown out for him and his buddies.

This image is another hybrid ... partly created freehand from my imagination, and partly loosely inspired by one of my own original photos. It was hand-painted, digitally, in Corel Painter with a Wacom tablet, the art pen, and lots of beautiful brushes.

Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence.
