A gloriously happy Samoyed dog in her element, deep snow on a brisk and sunny winter's morning. The breed's famous "Samoyed smile" is on display to perfection, and I love the snow flakes in her eyelashes. My camera caught her mid romp ... the see-sawing up and downs of her progress through the heavy white stuff made for some fabulous images that day, December 20, 2009, and the flying snow flakes accentuate the fun.
Shadows from the trees amid bright sunlight on the sparkly snow make for an even prettier picture ... hope you enjoy.
According to the American Kennel Club, the Samoyed is: "Gentle, adaptable, eager, friendly; conservative but never shy." And we can certainly attest to that. I think you can see all those traits in the happy face of our Sadie. When she was showing for her Championship it was clear to everyone who saw her that they were all there for only one reason: to see HER!! At least, I'm pretty sure that's how Sadie saw it!! ; ))

Ah, yes, such a queen! The strong diagonals of shadows are the perfect compliment to the soft snow. That touch of red is the perfect balance for all that white. Love it!
