Description
You can't sleep. You climb out of bed and wrap yourself in your comfy robe, slip on your favorite slippers, and begin to wander the house. It's not the first time and it surely won't be the last. You find yourself in front of the large kitchen window, staring out at the night sky ... lit by the moonlight, the world seems almost as bright as day.
A handsome bluebird perches on a branch of the nearby maple tree. Silvery light catches the red of his breast and highlights the turquoise of his rich feathers. By all rights, he should be tucked down among branches and leaves, dozing and waiting out the night. But he, too, is stirring and awake.
Looks like the pull of the light of the silvery moon has you both spellbound.
You take comfort in the sight of the handsome little guy, smile, and head back to the bedroom, knowing you'll get a good night's sleep now, and hoping he will, too.
