My camera, macro lens attached, was sitting on the kitchen counter one morning. Well, to be honest, my cameras spend about half their lives all over the house, and the kitchen seems to be one of their favorite hangouts. I was fixing my morning coffee and, as I have been known to do, I managed to spill the sugar on its way from the sugar bowl to the mug. Not quite sure why that is, but it happens. I liked the little trail of the granules, the way the sun was coming through the window, and the way the mug's reflection looked in the shiny granite. So ... as it does with photographers, one thing led to another and a nice snap of the scene seemed to be in order.

I've looked at this a few times, so now I'm just going to say it: do you mind if I have a cuppa? ... this one looks just so good :))) {amazing details captured with the grains, Lois}
Lois Bryan replied:
Oh Connie, you're more than welcome ... about a year late ... lol ... so I'll start a fresh one. You okay with Twining's Earl Grey?

You knew I'd love this capture, Lois! i especially apreciate the highlights in the lower end of the cup handle as the sugar granules mimic them. L
Lois Bryan replied:
Marlene, I'm laughing ... very glad I didn't clone those light spots out, then!!!!

Lois Bryan replied:
Thank you, Elise ... one of those shots that was just there ... not set up or planned at all!!
