Early, early spring is such a tease in our area. One minute the skies are sunny and temperatures are warm, inviting us out to check on the growing things, see what survived the winter, and the next day we're in snow again with howling winds and nippy col fingers and runny noses.

The best cure for this capriciousness of the season is to grab some of your blooming beauties, in this case jonquils or daffodils, clip them carefully, and bring them inside and pop them in a vase. The cheerful yellows and their glorious scent will be your shield against the darkest spring storms!

I hand-painted this image in Corel Painter with the Wacom tablet and art pen using a photo I took in March of 2023 as a starting point.
