Description
As if Mother Nature herself decided to create her own Christmas Tree, this tall evergreen stands silent and proud, catching the fleeting light and practically pulsing with life and determination and quiet perseverance.
Life in the Laurel Highlands on top of Blue Knob Mountain in the Claysburg PA, area can get severe ... the wind and cold are not to be easily dismissed. But it's also a place of great winter fun as well as hardship. Just over our lovely friend's shoulder is the place where many gather, strap boards on their feet, and happily ski and snow-board down the mountain.
Image taken January 20, 2009 with the Nikon D40x and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens on top of Blue Knob Mountain in Claysburg, PA.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

Beautiful shot! I love how the lighting gives a kind of gray overtone for a moody feel. Congratulations on your sale.
