A beautiful golden field bathed in the warm late day sunshine in rural Maryland, USA. Captured on a summer's afternoon in July of 2012 with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. A lovely texture from Florabella added in Photoshop CS5.

As a landscape painter, I'm quite impressed with the contrasting darks and lights plus the textures that you established. A favorite.

Beautiful piece of work. This scene really invites you in. I can feel the grass around my ankles as I walk the field. Well done,

Oh, Ian ... that's great news ... I'll hop right over and see what you've been doing!!! It IS fun ... sometimes I like to go over the top ... sometimes I like just a hint ... it's almost as if the image leads me by the hand and tells me what it wants!!

Aww ... thank you, Lenore ... sometimes just to take a carefree stroll through a field is about as good as it can get!!! Glad you enjoyed!!

What a splendid creation, Lois!!! This landscape is so beautifully rendered... love it a lot! f&v
Lois Bryan replied:
Thanks so much, Mona!!! Actually, just to the right of this spot was a bluebird box ... WITH ... bluebirds!!! So I stood there for what seemed like ages trying to get a decent shot of the male. And while he was hiding at some point I turned around and snapped this lovely field ... the light was really perfect. Never did get a keeper of a shot of Birdie ... but I did like the way the field turned out.
