Description
With the right ingredients of rain and sun and temperature, a tiny seed no bigger than your fingernail can become a towering vision of beauty sure to bring out the oohs and ahhs from everyone who passes by. Kind of a cool metaphor for life, if you stop and think about it.
This beauty was discovered on a trip to Burnside Farms in Purcellville, Virginia, one lovely afternoon in late August, 2016. A pick-your-own kind of place, the sunflowers seemed to go on and on forever and finding the perfect blooms to bring home was pure joy. We left these to continue their lives out under the bright summer skies and to bring smiles to other visitors.
This image is hand-painted, digitally, and very loosely sketched from and based on one of my own exclusive and original photographic images. Created in Corel Painter with a variety of brushes with a Wacom tablet and the art pen. It was not created with Artificial Intelligence programs … it's human made.
Purchases will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

I like the combination of of a real photograph with the painterly background. I thought I was the the only one doing that. LOL
Lois Bryan replied:
Thanks so much, George ... actually this one is completely hand-painted, digitally, using one of my own photos as a loose starting off place. I often put a pretty realistic touch on the focal areas ... then branch out more impressionistic-y as I go. Big fun!!!
