I named her Bessie.
I fell in love with this sweet darling baby calf at the farm of a very dear photography friend a number of years ago when she and many other photog-buddies and I were on a shootin' outing in Pennsylvania. What struck me as I viewed the image after I took it was the reflection of one of the trucks (cars?) in the calf's eye.
And I couldn't help wondering ... was Bessie planning her escape???
Ahhh ... but for opposable thumbs ... what a different world this might be for her ... for us all. No burgers for me tonight. Pass me a piece of fish instead, please.
(Though I am pretty sure Bessie was destined to be a dairy cow. Yes she was. Don't contradict me.)

Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence. I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally.
