Description
This image is a composite of images I took while visiting the Brookside Gardens in Wheaton Maryland in September 2010. The butterfly pictured here is a Blue Clipper (Parthenos sylvia lilacinus), region of origin India to China, Philippines, New Guinea, and has an average wingspan of three and a half inches.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

Exceptional capture of the detail in the butterfly. Love the way the background complements the colors.of its wings.

Ann, you sweetie, thank you!!!! I will tell you that the background was a very pretty light green ... bt I tinkered with the "hue" thingie in PS ... and when it got to this color my fingers just stopped all by themselves!!! Glad you liked it!!!!!
