Digital Art - Digital Art / Photography Based Digital Hand-painting
Two colorful male mallard ducks flap in from who knows where and suddenly find themselves on the same sunny golden sandbar. The swirling spring waters of the Juniata River near Bedford PA. rush and gurgle around them ... the icy spray making the tiny sandbar a welcome respite from the cold.
A lovely spring afternoon like this, with brisk breezes that hint of the snow and ice still feet-deep in the nearby mountains of the Laurel Highlands, brings all sorts of wildlife out of hiding. These two handsome young men, who will doubtless be bitter rivals for the hearts of the more drab females who float flirtingly past, greet each other with a nod, a ruffle, a sticking out of their colorful feathered chests and a very manly quack.
Not unlike the greetings I've heard from the youth of today: " 'Sup? "
Image painted by hand, digitally, and very loosely sketched from one of my own photos using Corel Painter, a Wacom tablet, the art pen stylus and many beautiful digital brushes.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... it will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
