Artist's Description
Snow-covered trees stand under a clear blue sky, creating a serene winter landscape. A small wooden cabin nestles among the frosty trees, adding a rustic charm to the scene.
I captured this charming wintery scene on top of Blue Knob Mountain PA in December of 2012. The little cabin is currently a utility shed / barn for the resort, Blue Knob All Seasons Resort, and stands at the very top of our 3,000+ ft high mountain, the second highest elevation in the Allegheny Mountains. To the left and behind me are the ski lift machines and lots of happy skiers and snowboarders. We call days like this when the temperatures are moderated a bit and the snow conditions are perfect a Blue Bird Day ... and with the skies the color of sapphires, you can surely understand why.
Captured with the Nikon D300 and my trusty 18-200mm vr Nikkor lens. No artificial intelligence used. Fine art and product purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendatio...
About Lois Bryan

Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence. I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally. Please be aware that we are currently experiencing a glitch in our system. The images in...

Gorgeous snowfall image, Lois. It has been almost three years since we have had any significant snowfall in my part of the world. I am really missing these.
Lois Bryan replied:
Scott, it’s been the same with us. I took this pic back in 2012. So far this year we’ve had 2 nice snowfalls, about 5 or so inches each. But previous years have been scant. Even up at blue knob Mother Nature has been stingy … but this year things have been great there!
