So happy that "The Weather Watcher" won first place in the 8/21/2021 contest "Digital Artist Unite" held by the Digital Artist Unite group. Thank you to the contest administrator, Michelle Ressler, and everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners.
So pleased that "The Weather Watcher" won third place in the 3/1/2021 "SPRING AVATAR CONTEST" held by the Promote Your Work Here and Get Noticed group. Many thanks to the contest administrator, Murray Rudd, and everyone who voted for my image. Congratulations to the other winners!!
A brilliant Eastern bluebird, perched on a blossoming redbud tree, keeps a watchful eye on the skies above. He knows April weather in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US is fickle and changeable. A morning that was ushered in with brilliant sun and glittering dew drops on the just-blooming flowers can quickly be overtaken by heavy, leaded clouds. It may even snow. But Birdie is well aware of the vagaries of his home-lawn, and knows the best hiding spots to sit out even the worst of Mother Nature's caprices.
This image was loosely inspired by my own original photography, captured in West Virginia, USA. It was hand-painted, digitally, in Corel Painter with a Wacom tablet, the art pen, and a wide variety of beautiful brushes.
NOT created with AI - Artificial Intelligence.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

Oh WOW, I am speechless, all you work is just awesome, I love this and all the rest! May I ask what you use to digitally paint these? If it's a secret, then i apologize, i won't ask again. LF
Lois Bryan replied:
Hi Jerry ... so kind of you. No, it's not a secret, in fact I usually include a bit of info in the description area. I use several art programs, Photoshop of course ... also Corel Painter and Rebelle. This one was hand-painted with a Wacom Tablet and the art pen in Corel Painter, using my own photography (not stock or public domain) as a starting point. Not Ai. Thanks for your visit and note!!
