Description
On an early spring morning, when all the world's colors are fresh and vibrant, we stroll through the grounds of the magnificent Whalehead Club on Corolla / Whalehead North Carolina's Outer Banks. Situated with its rear facing the sound, the front of the house has a view of a magnificent wooden bridge crossing a gentle stream. Overhung with wonderful old trees to provide shade and coolness on hot summer days, in spring the leafy branches provide a lovely frame to the house, if viewed just right.
This image is another version of a favorite of mine which can also be found here, "Whalehead In September," where you can read some of the home's history. Both images are loosely based on my own original photography (not from stock!), and digitally hand painted in Corel Painter.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

Sorry Lois. I sent you an email and called you by the wrong name. Please accept my apologies. This one is magnificent. I’m not too versed with digital alterations but I did try to alter some of my own paintings just for kicks! Laura

Hi Lois. It's your old friend from Redbubble. This is so beautifully done. So, this is a photo turned into painting via Corel? Wonderfully done!
