"Vintage Magnolia" ... my latest is a classic look at a vintage flower arrangement of magnolias and hydrangeas from Colonial Williamsburg. Don't you wish you could catch a whiff of that fabulous lemony fragrance? We tried growing magnolia trees more than once at our old house ... the grande floras all were eventually killed by our capricious weather ... but while they lasted, just walking past these blooms made me smile!!
This image is hand-painted, digitally, and very loosely based on one of my own exclusive and original photographic images. Created in Corel Painter with a variety of brushes with a Wacom tablet and the art pen.

Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence. I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally.
