It's a glorious,peaceful Arizona afternoon up in the mountains ... quiet and sunny and warm. Suddenly a clatter is heard over our shoulders ... an odd, almost metallic cluck and cackle that repeats rhythmically and gets louder. It's accompanied by almost a purr. But it's the next sound you hear ... that of a familiar gobble that solves the mystery.
Suddenly, out of the underbrush struts a brilliantly-colorful wild male turkey, displaying his virile magnificence for the benefit of the several love-struck females who emerge from the shrubs after him and hover and scuttle nearby.

My visit to the Tucson / Green Valley area of Arizona several years ago gave me lots of material for new images. "Wild Turkey" is very, very loosely based on one of them.
Fine art purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
