Description
Beyond a fresh bouquet of white roses, tulips, and foxgloves spreads the glowing and magnificent interior of the gothic York Minster Cathedral in York, England.
Also known as St. Peters, it was created to be the greatest cathedral in the kingdom. York Minster was constructed over a period of 250 years. Begun in 1220, it is situation on the site of several previous churches, the first dating back to the year 627.
Indistinct in the shadows, a woman sits off to the far right. My imagination tells me she's probably praying. I hope, after all these years, her prayers have been answered.
This image was captured by my son, Rich Bryan, in May of 2012 when he was studying in Edinburgh. He was using the Nikon D40x and the 18-135MM Nikkor lens. There was a wee bit of fine tuning in Photoshop by myself.
Fine art and product purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag." It was not created with any Ai programs.
