"Watching The World Go By" tells about a way of life that many of us still remember ... a time not too long ago. A time before television took over our lives ... television and computers and cell phones and iPads ... and before air conditioning made the inside of our homes more comfortable than the outside on a warm summer's evening.
Back in those days, when supper was done and the kitchen cleaned up, Dad and Mom would sit in the rocking chairs on the front porch and watch the world go by. The kids would be playing on the front lawns or across the street ... or even in the street ... kick-the-can being an all time favorite. Neighbors walking their dogs would wave and p...
Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence. I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally.
