A sweet little cabbage white butterfly, which in some cultures represents good luck or an angelic spirit, is enjoying the black-eyed susans in my garden. This image was taken with the Nikon D40x and the 18-135mm Nikon lens in August of 2008. Tinkering and use of textures applied in Photoshop CS4.
Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence. I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally. LOL!!! Steven, thank you!!!! In some cases I freely admit the butterflies sort of get "added" ... but I always disclose when I do that. This guy and I were both in the right place at the right time!!

Wow! This is really an abundance of beauty! The beauty of natures living pulse! Love the colors of the flowers in bright yellow, seen in focus in the foreground with a blurred background.
