Artist's Description
A spring morning on top of Blue Knob Mountain in the Laurel Highlands of Central Pennsylvania means light stealing through the new green leaves and kissing the tips of the wildflowers.
Spring comes late at 3000 ft elevation, but when it does, the magic is undeniable. Below us the valley is still in shadow ... but we, the trees and the grasses and flowers, soak up the warming sun with joy.
Image very loosely based on one of my own original photographs of the backyard at our ski cabin and hand-painted, digitally, in Corel Painter with a Wacom tablet, the art pen, and lots of beautiful brushes. I took the image in autumn ... and playfully adjusted it to reflect the beauties of spring. Though I've never seen bluebells there ... or anywhere, I bet they'd look nice!!

About Lois Bryan
Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced. I enjoy adding to my love of photography by tinkering with computer art programs including Photoshop, Corel Painter, Rebelle and others , though I do not use Ai / Artificial Intelligence. I also love working completely freehand with no photo reference involved. All of which is allowing me to circle back to a semblance of my days of sketching and painting traditionally.
