A colorful Yellow Headed Amazon Parrot, preening his gleaming emerald feathers, looks back at us with a scornful eye. He arranges each brilliant feather carefully to make sure it is just right. Though we call out to him hoping to get him to talk for us ... this birdie is well known for his language skills ... his expression seems to say, "Hey, a little privacy, please?"
Found in the tropical rainforest exhibit of the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland, he is only one of the many exotic and beautiful creatures that live there. His home, though, is mangrove forests or forests near rivers or other bodies of water of Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras.

Welcome! I"m a photographer and digital artist living in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US. Drawing and creating my own little sketchy worlds are some of my earliest memories. Life did what it does and the art fell away, but I reconnected when digital photography was introduced.
