Description
A visit to Skyline Drive, one I've made from time to time all my life, is always a time of expectation. Will the fall colors be peaking? Will the summer wildflowers be blooming? Will the spring trees be leafed out yet? Will the snowy roads be cleared? A different question for every season. But one question that is seasonally-universal is, will the sun be shining? On this particular trip, the sun was definitely in a fickle mood … sometimes shining brightly through a break in the clouds … and sometimes not. But even when it was quite overcast, the beauty of the scene before us was magical!
Image captured in November of 2015 with the Nikon D750 and the Nikkor 24-70mm lens.
Fine art and product purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... wall art will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

Stunning view, Lois. The gorgeous bush in the foreground is just perfect; really accentuates the depth of this amazing view of our grand land. I can feel the stillness. LF
