A bright red barn, awash in winter sun, huddles in a golden field. Behind it, dark clouds rumble and roil and move slowly, inevitably closer … and will soon block out the light. It won't be long before the snow flakes fly.
Driving along an interstate years ago, the light started doing that amazing thing it does once in a while. The sun was still strong from one side, but looking in the opposite direction was a sky full of dark clouds moving toward me. I immediately pulled off the interstate looking for some country roads, desperate to capture that amazing combination of light and dark which I knew would be so brief.
I captured this image in January of 2009 and only just rediscovered it. I was using my old Nikon D40x and the Nikkor 18-200mm lens.
Fine art and product purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... wall art will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
