Description
Sometimes you happen across something in your daily life that brings back little puffs ... tiny little clouds of memory. This rusty old tricycle did that for me. I lived through lots of adventures on a tricycle very much like this one.
In looking closely, a couple of things stand out and help tell a story. One, the pedals on the bike are missing. Two, the tires are very well worn. But three, and in my opinion the most telling piece of evidence, is the height to which the seat has been raised. This little trike was well loved. So well loved, in fact, that there it still sits. Maybe the little boy who loved it held onto it and the trike had a new life and new adventures with the grown-up little boy's own children.
Makes me wonder ... whatever happened to my own little tricycle?
Image digitally painted from one of my own photos. Post work includes a hint of texture from the amazing Cheryl Butler of http://www.bellefleurtextures.com .

Another picture without words that tells a story Lois. Love ones that fill the bill like this one.

Oh I love this so very much and not just because you painted this but I had a little trike almost exactly like this. I actually started to paint it & it still sits uncompleted, so very nostalgic. L/F
