May the peace and simplicity of a country Christmas morning be yours this season and throughout the New Year!

This beautiful church is nestled in the rolling Laurel Highlands not far south west of Bedford, PA, and I was lucky enough to drive past one winter morning just after a snow. It was a joy to hand-paint and let my creativity and imagination fly. This is a texted "Merry Christmas" version of "Christmas Morning" … which I created and posted previously and is also available here on my website, without the Merry Christmas greeting.

Image sketched and painted by hand, digitally, and very loosely based on one of my own photos using Corel Painter, a Wacom tablet, the art pen stylus and a wide variety of beautiful digital brushes.
