A walk through beautiful Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia, wouldn't be complete without a visit to the magnificent formal gardens at the rear of the Governor's Palace. We can only imagine what magnificent events the lovely ballroom, which juts out from the main structure into the gardens, has seen. On this bright and sunny April morning not only are we treated to sight of the dancing yellow and white tulips, but the bright blue skies are filled with the softest white clouds that skip across the heavens as if they're ready to party in the ballroom, too.
Image captured in April of 2018 with the Nikon D750 and the Nikkor 24-70mm by my son, Rich Bryan. I hand painted it, digitally, using the original photo as a guide, in Corel Painter. It was not created using AI - Artificial Intelligence programs.
While the palace itself is painted in a somewhat structured style, I tried to give the foreground flowers, the trees and shrubs and the clouds and sky a much more playful and free flow … emphasizing the beauty of that fresh April morning.
Fine art and product purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... it will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."
