Description
Since moving to our new home, I've made a lot of discoveries. One, living in the Shenandoah Valley makes for some amazing sky-cloud formations as the atmosphere ping-pongs between the mountain ranges. More on that later. But two, having established gardens nearby that I didn't plant myself yields many fun surprises. I'm on my second spring here, now, so it'll be fun to watch old favorites from last year make their way up through the good earth to the sunlight again.
The image shown here is of a blue bell bud which is actually a tight-fisted cluster of tiny blue-bell blossoms that are just about to burst out of their cocoon. I incorporated it with an abstract image of the full garden. After, all, what's one without the other?

This luscious painterly work is inspiring to contemplate, Lois, and the levels of abstraction and reality are blended together beautifully.
