Description
Winter here on the east coast this season (2016-2017) has been unusually mild. I'm actually not bragging, because I do love a good, snowy winter. I know our friends to the north west and west have been experiencing unique weather patterns of heavy snow and rain, very unlike what they're unaccustomed to seeing. But as of today, mid February, the daffodils and iris and crocus shoots in the gardens are inches high and looking hopeful, and the buds on some of the trees are beginning to swell. The tones of light greens and peaches and pinks are just beginning to override the rusts and grays of winter ... and in celebration, I thought I'd bring out another version of an image I did a while ago (Rockin' Rooster) ... this time in tones of light spring.

Something as simple as a chicken isn't often the subject for a phot, but the digital art style is exceptional. Well done, Lois!

What a delightful jolt of spring this rooster is Lois. I can just imagine him trotting around with a jaunt in his steps.

Nicely done, Lois! The green tones look great and set off the direct complimentary pinks and reds on the comb and wattle! L/F

The glowing vibrancy of this rooster work conveys the elegance of a fine 19th century portrait, Lois -- the Duke of Fowl, perhaps.
