Description
A stroll along a country road up on top of Blue Knob Mountain, Claysburg, PA, in summer always brings magical sights. Both the magnificent sweeping mountain landscape vistas and the small macro wild flowers ... they all delight the soul. On this particular occasion, I found a small plant with spikey pinkish - whitish flower buds. At the time I had no idea what they were, I just enjoyed the way they were bursting out of the shadow and into the sun, like tiny stationary fireworks. Many years later I learned this is a Joe Pie weed ... the favorite of the beautiful monarch butterfly. We now have one in our backyard.
I created this digital art in Photoshop based on a photo I took in August of 2008. This image was not created using AI - Artificial Intelligence programs.
Fine art and product purchases of this image will not include a watermark, and if I may make a recommendation ... this image will look its very best on the fine art paper choice of "picture rag."

Reminds me of the fireworks I saw in Disneyworld on New Years Eve. Beautiful digital work, Lois.

Scott thank you … I'm wishing I had named it something like that … it does look like fireworks … the light hit the buds just so, didn't it!!
