Description
A quiet walk through the local garden one spring evening resulted in many visual treats. One gift-giver in particular, a truly lovely dogwood tree, provided me with several delights and lots of opportunities for creating some new images. This one in particular shows off the blossoms as they reach out into the light of the setting sun ... catching the warm tones of the golden hour ... against the darkness of the shaded background.
I used one of my own original photos to loosely sketch the image, then digitally painted it, freehand, in Corel Painter.
